First, I want to wish everyone reading this a very happy new year - and to thank you for helping make 2013 a great one for Cottage Industry. Although I get a case of the sads when the holidays are over (this girl looooooves Christmas), I also love the feelings a new year brings. Energy. Inspiration. Refreshment. Like a blank canvas that's ready to become a piece of art, this year is stretching out just waiting for us to make it great. Soooo, some resolutions have been made, some personal, some work related. On the personal side of things, I have two rooms at home needing some attention - my kitchen and my main floor bathroom. I've been dragging my feet mainly due to budget concerns (and who am I kidding a little, ok a lot, of laziness) but a recent epiphany has enlightened the way to cheap and cheerful makeovers. Huzzah! I'm hoping that throwing it out here on the blog will get me motivated. Stay tuned for updates. PS. Anyone else have a room or space in their home that isn't being it's best self? Join me on a quest for a prettier more functional home (leave a comment below) and we'll get there together! On the work side, you may have noticed we've reduced our hours for the winter - don't be fooled, Nancy and I are not sleeping in, lounging around watching soaps (side note: are soap operas even still happening?). We're working hard on a few key projects that will be launching this spring. Excitement!! Stay tuned for that too. Sneak a peak of my bathroom reno inspiration below.
